What could be better than spending a weekend away in a new place, listening to a variety of music whilst relishing in the summer sun *fingers crossed*? Not much, particularly after a long, arduous year of work or school, dreaming about how you will be able to spend your summer. Don’t miss out on the myriad of music festivals coming to the UK this year; with something for all, tastes ranging from indie to rock, no one should feel excluded. Gather a group of your best friends, book your tickets, and head on down to your destination for a guaranteed fun filled experience. Try not to forget your festival fashion favourites to ensure you look the part whilst there; we’re anticipating a re-emergence of the metallic temporary tattoos which were all the rage last year!

Boardmasters (2)-min

Music to expect: This year’s line up includes some big names such as James Bay, Chase & Status and Sigma, as well as lesser known but amazing artists like Wolf Alice and Raleigh Ritchie.

Set in the beautiful South-West, Boardmasters is the UK’s best surf, skate and music festival, where you can enjoy cliff-top sessions whilst watching the surfers tearing up the waves below. A variety of camping options are available and the collection of food stalls is out of this world, catering for all possible tastes.

Music to expect: Everything from pop-rockers, The Flaming Lips, to British folk and soul singer, Lianne La Havas.

More of a lifestyle festival, Wilderness is for those amongst you with a more eclectic mix of interests and a love of the great outdoors due to its private nature reserve setting. You can expect to embrace your inner creativity and identity, as well as explore new cultures and ‘meet the world’ as the creators themselves say. Savour the food of famous chefs, swim in the sparkling lakes or utilise the wellbeing facilities such as the Lakeside Spa. The possibilities are endless!
