Are You Drinking The Right Amount of Water? 

Whether you want to clear up your skin, lose weight, or simply nourish your body properly, drinking the right amount of water is a miracle worker for your health. One of the biggest mistakes people make when it comes to health and fitness is neglecting their daily water intake. Many individuals are not aware that drinking water speeds up their metabolism and helps curb cravings to aid weight loss. It can be difficult to know how much water to drink since it generally varies from person to person.

So what is the right amount of water for you?

To calculate your perfect daily water intake, multiply your weight in pounds by 2/3. For example, if you weigh 145 pounds you should drink 97 ounces a day which equals around three litres of water. Keep in mind that if you engage in physical activity, then you need to increase your water intake. Make it a part of your morning routine

 

Make an effort to drink water right after you get out of bed in the morning. Make sure to drink water before drinking any coffee, since it is naturally a dehydrating beverage. Drinking water before breakfast will speed up your metabolism, which will help you digest your food more efficiently.

 

Skip the glass and use a water bottle

Swap your water glass for a litre water bottle. Instead of keeping track of endless water glasses, make life easier for yourself and drink out of a larger bottle. It is more efficient, takes less brain activity and saves on the dishes.

 

Bring your water with you everywhere

 

Essentially just plan ahead and bring what you need to stay hydrated. If you go to work without your bottle of water, it is much less likely that you will drink enough. Be smart and plan ahead.

 

Know your schedule

 

With planning ahead comes knowing your own personal schedule. If you are on the go for a couple of hours, plan out how you can drink water around your travel time. When you drink enough water, the bathroom is your best friend, so make sure you have access to it.

 

Get creative

A lot of people don’t like the taste of plain water. Squeeze in some lemon juice, add some mint, or drop in some orange slices. Infusing your water adds essential vitamins and lets you get creative with your water intake.
