World famous sporting event, the Royal Ascot, considered by many, as one of the biggest society events for the British calendar returned June 15th-18th 2016. Almost as famous for the style stakes as it is for the racing itself, it’s an event not to be missed. It goes without saying that when we think of the Royal Ascot the mind wanders to thoughts of larger than large innovative hat designs, elegant cocktail dresses and champagne.
The day that grabs the most attention, is of course Ladies’ Day. It’s the day, the race goers of the fairer sex, put the best fashion foot forward. Whether they’re in a box in the Royal Enclosure, drinking champagne in the Cedar Tree Bar or watching the races on the big screen in the Windsor Enclosure, Ladies’ Day is a day not to be missed. Each attendee is waiting for their fifteen minutes of fame, with everyone there from regular attendee, Katherine Jenkins, to first time fashion students hoping to get noticed by Gok Wan.
It goes without saying that celebrities with a team of stylists and hair and make-up artists at their beck and call always look flawless at Royal Ascot. The most interesting Ladies Day attendees are often those without their own style team but those who are completely authentic and one of a kind. That being said, the team at SANT, decided to look at those who think outside the box and get swept up in the magic of Royal Ascot!
