London Fashion Week by Sun

London fashion week has started in the new and improved venue of Brewer Street Car Park. Its far stretch from Somerset house meets the edgy vibe that contributes to the collections that star inside.

Walking inside and up the three flights of stairs in Autumnal heels we meet Jenny Sun. Jenny has an infectious and approachable style, her ranges are described as “vibrant, playful and effortless, simple to wear and known for its experimental textiles”.

Upon approaching the collection flowers immersed upon feminine cut design dresses and more. Jenny stated; “The dress [above] is made double sided with 100% silk from Italy”, Jenny stands next to the Orange flower SS/16 dress that she picks as her personal favorite. She is also wearing an April SS/15 sweater currently selling online, available on the link below. The collection was amongst the busiest on Brewer Street, obviously due to the delicate yet effortless design. Sun graduated Fashion Design Technology at London College of Fashion in 2013 and only a year later she made her mark on London with her collection made for Rosie Fortescue and Lucy Watson (wears a print skater skirt By Sun below), reality stars from the show ‘Made in Chelsea’.

The sketchy striped embossed flowers reflect the essence of spring/summer yet it is original with its own unique style. Jenny seems to create for the ‘dare to differ’ women. As we see below, the strappy V cut dress also features shoes that remain consistent with the floral design and little stich detail to define the flower;

Being able to view the collection on a first hand basis, allows you to see Jenny’s differentiation from the modern, girly, preppy, feminine look by adding an edgy, classy woman with a touch of attitude, making the collection more timeless rather than just a seasonal trend. The made to wear dresses will no doubt be extremely popular next year and I for one cannot wait to get one of the beautiful dresses.
