Sea Life Aquarium
It is a highly interactive, family-use marine aquarium located on Lego land Drive in Carlsbad. The aquarium is home to more than five thousand marine creatures that constitute more than 200 species, some of which are clownfish, octopus, manta rays, seahorses and large sharks. Children have the opportunity to pet certain animals, including crabs and starfish.
Leo Carrillo Ranch Historical Park
Opened in 2003 and designated a National Historic Landmark, the park is an old working ranch once owned by showgirl Leo Carrillo. Aside from the divine natural scenery, the park includes a reflecting pool, old windmills, adobe buildings, and other historic buildings. The park is home to many plants, such as birds, bougainvillea and even agaves, as well as various types of trees.
New Village Arts Theater
It is a performing arts theater. With a capacity for one hundred people, the intimate amphitheater hosts productions made up of a local group. Certain of the past productions have been As You like It, Golden Boy and Into the Woods. The theater hosts various educational outreach events. The theater is busy with a local youth acting event known as Kids Act, which provides acting classes for children.
