Over 5 millioncyber-attacks on CCTV surveillance in 5 months have been reported blocked by the Japan-based cybersecurity company “Trend Micro”highlighting the potential growing risks of cyber-attacks, especially on CCTV surveillance devices. The company is further detailed that the 5 million cyber-attacks were targeted to 7000 CCTV surveillance systems which were eventually found super vulnerable to cyber security breach. Around 75% of the total attacks were through brute force login attempts due to compromised passwords.
